Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 14, 2026

Effective Date: September 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy governs the collection, processing, storage, disclosure, and protection of information collected through the Bryams Store Mobile Application (the “Application” or “Store App”) and associated vendor management services operated by Bryams (“Bryams”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

This application serves as the vendor and merchant administrative interface within the Bryams platform ecosystem, which integrates the Bryams User App, the Bryams Store App, and the Bryams Delivery App. By registering an account, installing, or using the Application, you (“Merchant”, “Store Owner”, “Service Provider”, or “Authorized User”) agree to the practices outlined in this policy.

1. Scope and Platform Architecture

Bryams provides an on-demand multivendor marketplace for goods, food, parcels, rental operations, and customized on-demand home and professional services. The Bryams Store App is dedicated to merchants and vendors who list items, manage inventory, coordinate service bookings, dispatch products, process financial payouts, and interact with delivery personnel and end customers.

2. Information We Collect

We collect personal and commercial data required to establish vendor contracts, facilitate marketplace operations, enforce security, and settle commercial transactions.

A. Account Registration and Business Identity Data

  • Merchant Identification: Full name, business trade name, store registration numbers, tax identification numbers (TIN/VAT), email addresses, and phone numbers.
  • Authentication Credentials: Passwords (securely hashed), verification tokens, and session identifiers (Bearer API tokens).
  • Legal Documentation & KYC: Government IDs, commercial operating licenses, trade registrations, certificates of incorporation, and identity photographs submitted via multipart upload to verify business authenticity.

B. Location and Spatial Coordinates

  • Physical Store Location: Accurate geographic positioning, including physical street addresses, postal zones, and precise GPS latitude and longitude coordinates.
  • Operational Geofencing: Delivery boundaries, service zone coverage, and pickup dispatch zones necessary for calculating delivery radii and routing drivers.

C. Financial and Settlement Information

  • Banking Details: Bank account names, account numbers, routing/sort codes, and designated withdrawal channels (disbursement_type).
  • Transaction Records: Gross order volumes, net payouts, platform commission deductions, tax liabilities, wallet transaction logs, and payout request histories.

D. Product Catalogs, Inventory, and Media

  • Media Assets: Product images, store logos, promotional banners, promotional short videos/reels, and trade catalog multimedia.
  • Catalog Configuration: Stock levels, item descriptions, product variants, preparation/processing times, operational hours, and pricing.
  • Service Verification: Photographic evidence captured at customer premises to confirm completed maintenance or on-demand service jobs.

E. Communications & Interaction Logs

  • Platform Chat: In-app messaging logs between your store personnel, end customers, and delivery contractors, including text messages and shared order-specific media attachments.
  • Review Data: Customer ratings, feedback entries, and merchant responses to customer reviews.

F. Device, Technical, and Diagnostic Information

  • System Identifiers: Operating system version, hardware model, unique device identifiers, IP addresses, internet service providers, connection stability metrics, and application performance crash reports.
  • Notification Identifiers: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device registration tokens used for real-time order dispatch notifications.

3. Device Permissions & System Usage Rationale

The Bryams Store App requests specific mobile operating system permissions. Each permission is tied directly to functional features within the application codebase:

PermissionTechnical RequirementOperational Purpose
Foreground Service & Wake Lockflutter_foreground_task, WAKE_LOCKEssential for receiving immediate, continuous high-priority audio alarms and persistent system alerts when a new customer order or service booking arrives, preventing missed orders when the screen is off.

4. How We Use Collected Information

Bryams processes merchant data on the following legal and operational grounds:

  • Order and Service Fulfillment: Alerting store operators to incoming orders, coordinating dispatch schedules, managing stock availability, and routing pick-up assignments to the Bryams Delivery App.
  • Marketplace Publication: Displaying your store name, business address, operational hours, customer ratings, catalog items, pricing, and promotional banners to consumers using the Bryams User App.
  • Payment Settlement & Accounting: Calculating transaction totals, deducting platform commissions, applying statutory tax allocations, and remitting net disbursements to registered bank accounts.
  • Dispute Resolution & Platform Integrity: Auditing conversation logs, order preparation timestamps, and photographic completion evidence in case of delivery disputes, chargebacks, or non-delivery claims.
  • AI Metadata Generation: Processing store-submitted keywords through natural language generation models to produce product descriptions and catalog optimization recommendations.
  • Security & Fraud Prevention: Detecting unauthorized account access, monitoring unusual inventory fluctuations, authenticating password reset requests, and blocking malicious activity.

5. Third-Party Integrations & Sub-Processors

To deliver platform functionality, Bryams integrates the following third-party infrastructure components:

  • Google Firebase & Google Cloud Platform: Utilized for device token registration, push notification delivery (Firebase Cloud Messaging), crash reporting, and cloud infrastructure operations.
  • Google Maps API: Utilized for geocoding store addresses, spatial visualization, delivery radius calculations, and geographic routing.
  • Payment Gateways & Banking Switches: Commercial payment engines handle settlement processing, identity verification, and payout disbursements.
  • Artificial Intelligence Service Providers: When merchants invoke the automated metadata generation features, textual input data is processed via secure API endpoints to generate marketing content.

All external service providers are contractually constrained from utilizing merchant data for any purpose other than providing the contracted technical services.

6. Data Sharing within the Bryams Ecosystem

Bryams operates as an interconnected multi-sided platform. Consequently, certain merchant information is shared across ecosystem boundaries:

  • With Customers (Bryams User App): Your store name, store exterior/interior media, logo, physical address, customer review ratings, catalog inventory, pricing, preparation lead times, and real-time operational status (open/closed) are publicly visible to users.
  • With Delivery Agents (Bryams Delivery App): When an order is ready for dispatch, designated couriers receive the store name, contact phone number, exact GPS pickup address, and specific order itemization details.
  • With Regulatory & Legal Authorities: We may disclose store identity records, tax information, and transaction audit trails when required by valid subpoenas, court orders, tax authority mandates, or statutory regulations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade merchant lists, operational data, or personal information to third-party data brokers or advertising networks.

7. Data Storage, Security, and Protection

Bryams implements technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect merchant data against unauthorized access, destruction, loss, or alteration:

  • In-Transit Encryption: All communications between the Bryams Store application, local device storage, and central application programming interfaces (APIs) are encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2/1.3 / HTTPS).
  • Token-Based Access Control: API endpoints authenticate each request via encrypted JSON Web Tokens (Bearer authentication tokens), preventing session hijacking.
  • Session Persistence & Storage Hygiene: Stored preferences and transient session indicators within device cache (shared_preferences) are segregated and cleared upon manual logout or administrative account deactivation.
  • Access Governance: Access to back-office merchant records is restricted to authenticated support and operations staff who require access to resolve merchant inquiries or ensure regulatory compliance.

8. Data Retention and Account Deletion

  • Operational Data Retention: Merchant account details, order logs, transaction records, and tax histories are retained for as long as the merchant maintains an active relationship with Bryams, and thereafter for statutory record-keeping periods mandated by commercial and tax legislation.
  • Account Deactivation & Erasure: Merchants may terminate their store relationship or request account deletion through the application profile interface or by contacting merchant support. Upon approved deactivation:
    • Store catalogs and public profiles are removed from the Bryams User App.
    • Active device tokens and push notification registrations are revoked immediately.
    • Commercial transaction ledgers, invoices, and completed order audit trails are archived in compliance with statutory legal and tax obligations before irreversible deletion.

9. Merchant Rights and Controls

Subject to applicable national data protection frameworks (including the NDPA/NDPR, GDPR, and other local regional regulations), merchants hold the following rights:

  • Access & Portability: Request a copy of the commercial and personal information held by Bryams regarding your business.
  • Rectification: Update and modify outdated profile details, operating hours, telephone contacts, banking destinations, and catalog details directly within the Application’s settings screens.
  • Revocation of Device Permissions: Disable non-critical hardware permissions (e.g., Camera, Location, or Bluetooth) at any time via your mobile device’s system settings. Please note that disabling critical permissions, such as foreground task notifications, will impair the app’s ability to alert you to incoming orders.
  • Opt-Out of Automated Features: Merchants retain complete discretion over whether to use generative AI description tools and can manually author all catalog details.

10. Modifications to this Privacy Policy

Bryams reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy to reflect technical enhancements, architectural updates, changes in statutory requirements, or operational adjustments across the Bryams platform. When material changes occur, merchants will be notified through an in-app notice, push notification, or email update prior to the changes taking effect. Continued use of the Store App following the posting of modifications constitutes formal acceptance of the revised policy.
